The short answer is: Yes
Your Rigor Monitoring plan includes a license for a set number of active (non-paused) checks. Though you choose the number of checks when you initially signed up, you may find that your needs have grown while using Rigor. As such, you may want to increase the number of checks that are included in your plan, or you may need to limit the number of checks that you or your team creates.
How do I know how many checks are included in my plan?
Users with Administrator permissions can view current usage on the Account Overview page. This will show you how many checks are included in your plan and how many you are currently using.
When would I need to limit the number of checks I am using?
- Your monitoring needs have exceeded your current plan allowance and you don’t want to increase your plan to include more checks.
- Several members of your organization are using Rigor and may be creating checks that increase usage beyond your plan allowance. You may want to track this internally before determining whether to increase the number of checks in your plan.
Please contact the Rigor administrator at your company to learn more about enforcing account limits.
If you find that your active check count exceeds the plan allowance, there are several options:
- Pausing checks so that only the most important checks run
- Enforcing check limits at the account level. Contact the Rigor Administrator at your company to enable this feature in your account
- Contact support@rigor.com to discuss increasing the number of checks in your plan
What does enforcing check limits mean for my account?
When you are over the check limit, you cannot create or resume any checks. This applies when you try to create or pause checks, including through Control Groups, Bulk Changes, the Monitoring API, or in the app.
For example, if your plan includes 10 checks and 15 are currently active, you will need to pause 6 of these checks before being allowed to create another.
Then, if you want to create a new check (i.e. a 16th), you will need to pause one more so that you do not have more than 10 active checks.
